Workplace Courses are a cost-effective investment into the safety and reputation of your business. We offer fun, interactive, empowering and educational scenario-based courses designed to suit your organisation's needs. Our mission is to help your business deal with any potential threats to public safety your staff may face. Our team-focused training is the most realistic scenario-based training you will find for your business. Your team will walk away with practical skills to protect themselves and clients in your workplace or out in the field.  Courses and modules are generally either half-day (3hrs) or full day (6hrs). Modules can be combined to create multi-day training experiences.

Health & Safety Initial Assessment (1hr): An initial meet and greet at your site, to hear your needs and concerns about physical safety, threats and security.  An on-site visual assessment will determine if you potentially need to improve your existing Health and Safety Plan. This is not about encouraging 'heroics', but common-sense practicality and life-saving preparedness. After this meetup, we can offer recommendations for one of the courses below, or provide advice to help update your Health and Safety Plan if requested.

Work-Place Self Defence Course (3hrs): For team members needing to learn general self-defensive skills and awareness for the workplace. This engaging, interactive and practical hands-on course will give your staff essential skills in personal safety / self-defence. Relevant to staff working in settings where personal safety could be compromised, participants will be taught how to recognise the 3x phases of an escalating situation, how to de-escalate a threatening confrontation, and how to effectively execute self-defence and escape danger. All training will be taught in accordance with NZ self-defence law. Scenarios may include intimidation, trespass, theft and assaults. An empowering course.

Work-Place Control & Restraint Course (3hrs): For teams in public-facing roles dealing with unruly behaviour - while needing to defend the workspace as a team. For example: retail, hospitality, security guards, social workers, customer service, teachers, paramedics, doctors/nurses, pilots, flight crew...etc needing to learn 'control & restraint' tactics to deal with potential threats in a business, governmental or public spaces. This course teaches quick threat assessment, teamwork and communication. Learn how to de-escalate and intercept a public-safety threat individually or as a team, using 'control & restraint' to lawfully detain a threat before police arrives in our scenario-based training.

Work-Place Armed-Threats Modules: In today's world, any business or public space can become a target for a person armed with a weapon. Train your team on how to respond to firearm / knife offences through our realistic scenario-based training. Create a response plan with your team that will improve everyone's safety and chance of survival. 

•  Knife Threat Module (3hrs)  - Knife/Edged/Bladed Weapons Threats (Robbery / Hostage Situations)

•  Knife Attack Module (3hrs)  - Knife/Edged/Bladed Weapons Attacks (Knife Attacks)

•  Firearm Threat Module (3hrs)  - Firearm Threats (Long Gun / Hand Gun Disarmament)

•  Active Shooter Module (3hrs)  - Active Shooter Survival (Terrorist Attacks / Hostage Situations)

•  Long Weapons Module (3hrs) - Bats, Clubs, Crow Bars, Sledge Hammer, Axe, Machete Attacks

Work-Place Escape and Evasion for VIPs:  If high-value members from your organisation often work out in the field or overseas, they may need some foundational skills in Self Defence + Escape and Evasion. Learn to escape an abduction attempt. What would be the human and organisational costs if one of your valued members gets abducted for sensitive information, or used as ransom against your group? In this course, participants will be learning a variety of fundamental escape and evasion skills against unlawful detainment or abduction by a hostile force or competitor.
